Ethical Guidelines

This is a work in progress, but here is the first draft of an Ethics statement for this website. 

  1. When other people's work is used, it will be credited appropriately.

  2. All AI-generated content will be clearly labeled as such.

  3. Any AI-generated content will be checked, to the best of my ability, to ensure that it's not infringing on copyrighted works, or borrowing without permission from the idea of other people or organizations. 

  4. No recordings, images, or mentions of other people (other than in citing sources or giving credit) will be published without explicit permission. 

  5. AI will not be used to generate any images that use or alter photographs of anyone. 

  6. All AI-generated content will be reviewed by a human.

  7. As the owner of the site, I take accountability for all the content published on this site, regardless of who or what created it. 

  8. The content published on this site will not intend to or knowingly do harm to others. 

  9. While I do not have control over the impact of AI technology as a whole, or the business practices of behind the different technology used in the creation of this site, I will do my best to use the technology responsibility. 

  10. Performance optimization will be built into workflows to reduce the size and speed of this website. 

  11. This website will adhere to to WCAG 2.2 guidelines, and if issues are uncovered they will be remediated. 

  12. The content published on this site will be created to experiment, educate, entertain, or inspire other people; content will not be created wastefully just for the sake of it.

  13. I will be transparent about the different technologies used in the creation of this site.
